In 1956, Piaggio had already produced 1 million Vespas. Each of these was a "Wideframe"; so nicknamed because of the swinging arm separated from the crankcase. This construction scheme remained in use until the 1960s with the different versions of GS150.
In addition to the models produced in Italy, Piaggio had several factories for licensed production throughout Europe, each assembling local versions of the Vespa.
Thanks to the Manuale d’officina completo motori Vespa Wideframe, you can learn how to repair and upgrade these old Vespas, getting them back to biting the asphalt, their natural habit.
