The collection housed in Palazzo Cento in Pollenza is unique. A work of collection and care carried out by Marco Romiti and which today attracts visitors from all over Italy. We are talking about the "Vite da Vespa" Museum.

Having left the shoes of a bomber, Marco Romiti has worn those of a collector and has created the cave of marvels in the cantina (cellar) of an old palace in the historic centre of Pollenza.

In 1982, the collector, together with his wife Mariella, began collecting material by purchasing the first Vespa sold in the Province of Macerata, one of the first in Italy considering the chassis number. Starting with an important piece was a fortune because passion immediately flared up, then they gradually put together all the material focusing on the activities of Vespa clubs in Italy.

The myth of Vespa is explored with a rich overview of motorbikes in excellent condition and objects related to the Vespa Club world. Visiting this collection and admiring the most beautiful Piaggio products takes you back to the years after World War II, of Italian reconstruction, a rising economy and a great desire for freedom that crossed Italy from north to south… riding a Vespa.

There are, of course, many models on display: among the rarest are the 98 cc first series from 1946, the Vespa Sei giorni (1951), military Acma, the Vespa 400 (the only one produced by Piaggio).

The uniqueness of the Romiti museum, however, derives from the collection of material from Vespa Club d'Italia and everything related to Vespa and cinema. Thus collected are photographs, cups, trophies, plaques from events that tell the history of our country.

But also film posters and calendars, extremely rare 8 mm films on rallies, objects that testify that merchandising is not an invention of the present day, even children's toys still linked to the imagery of this scooter.
