It is on the North West 200, whose first edition dates back to 1929, that this book focuses, telling its story and interweaving the stories of more or less famous riders who have raced it, from legend Joey Dunlop to Ducati legend Carl Fogarty, from Mike the bike Hailwood to Robert Dunlop who left, as record holder, one night in 2008.

And then Phillip McCallen and his five NW200 wins in one day, an exclusive interview with cannibal Alastair Seeley (the Giacomo Agostini of the NW200 with 29 victories) and another with Mervyn Whyte, the man who brought the NW200 to international attention.

But there is also a lot of Italy, starting with Stefano Bonetti, the only non-English to win the NW200 in 2019 on a Paton, but already on the podium in another occasion. And also David Jefferies, Bruce Anstey, Jeremy McWilliams, the Rutters, the Armoy Armada, Geoff Duke, Mervyn Whyte, Paul Robinson, Stu Avant, Fausto Duci, Simona Zaccardi and many more.

In addition to telling their stories, the book contains a travel guide for those who, leaving from Italy, would like to go and watch the NW200, spending the less possible. On the strength of the 7 editions he has attended (the first in 2006, the last in 2023), the author provides advice on internal travel, even publishing the bus timetables in force on the routes to be travelled, plus indications on passes and parking, as well as suggestions on the natural and artistic beauties present in the region. A vademecum of rare effectiveness, unavailable on the web.

It is completed by the richest statistics section ever produced on the NW200, with some 40 tables showing, among other things, all the results, session by session, of all the Italians who took part in the NW200. For each one the best lap time of each session is also indicated.

Statistics on the most successful riders, those with the most podiums, but also all the successes of the Dunlop family, as well as the triumphs of the Italian bikes and the lap records of each class.

North West 200 - La corsa più bella al mondo is a must-have book in any biker's home.
