The volume written by Valerio Moretti documents the lesser-known aspect of the agonistic activity of the Roman pilot Piero Taruffi.
Notable for his car races, he was among the few to win the three most famous road racing races - Targa Florio, Mille Miglia and Carrera Panamericana - first-person owner of numerous world records, achieved by means of his design (the " Rondine "and the famous Tarf" bisiluro "), Taruffi is much less known for his activity as motorcycle driver, in which, in the thirties, he achieved absolute supremacy, unanimously recognized by both the sporting critics of the time and his same antagonists.
The final part of the volume is dedicated to the primates conquered by Taruffi, which have led him to hold for some time the absolute supremacy of speed in motorcycles.
