The book traces the history of the police force through photographs of its service cars, describing the evolution of the car and of Italian society through the years: from the Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1600, which became an icon of 1970s police cinema, to a stunning coupé like the Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint, passing by honored service saloons like the Alfasud and the Fiat Marea.

Not forgetting legendary cars like the black 1962 Ferrari 250 GTE, the memorable panther of Marshal Spatafora, iconic vehicles like the Willys of the post-war period and the Moto Guzzi of the Stradale.

The book presents a collection of photographs taken from the historical police archives or made ex novo, with explanatory captions describing their technical and chromatic characteristics and the specifics of their use, as well as the year of production.

Polizia e motori. La lunga strada insieme is also an opportunity to tell a story of uniqueness dedicated to serving the country. The graphic idea is to accompany this story as you leaf through the pages, bringing out the solidity and longevity of an institution as important as the Polizia di Stato.
