After eleven monographs, here is the latest editorial effort by Antonio Biasioli dedicated to the Rally di San Martino, a mythical race that has left its mark in the world of road racing and that forty-three years after the last edition, in 1977, still has a fascination immutable.
The author has traced a photographic history, using historical images, his own personal archive and the material of ten passionate photographers.
For each edition, entries and general rankings.
The first one was in 1964: the route included 1600 kilometres unwinding through the evocative setting of the Dolomites. The reference point was San Martino di Castrozza, which was crossed by the race four times.
The fourteen editions followed one another uninterrupted until 1977. The event achieved all the degrees of international validity reaching, first the European championship, then the world championship conductors.
