The Targa Florio was undoubtedly one of the most famous races in the world. Created in 1906 from an idea by Vincenzo Florio, it took place in Sicily, on the Madonie Circuit, immediately attracting the attention of the most important car manufacturers and famous drivers.

This limited edition collector's photo book by Roberto Barbato, with around 350 exclusive images in both colour and b/w, portrays the editions from 1972 to 1977 (the year of the last edition) of this legendary competition. The protagonists are the cars that made motor sport history: Ferrari, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Lancia.

At the wheel were champions from that truly unique period: Nino Vaccarella, Ralf Stommelen, Jacky Ickx, Arturo Merzario, Brian Redman, Vic Elford, Clay Regazzoni, Herbert Muller, Gjis Van Lennep, Sandro Munari, Gerard Larrousse, Amilcare Ballestrieri, Andrea De Adamich, Helmut Marko and many others.
