Published in 1998 by the "Eredità Enzo Ferrari", on the occasion of the centenary of the great constructor's birth and the tenth anniversary of his death, Una vita per l’Automobile is a volume that brings together around 500 black and white images from the most important archives around the world and taken by the most famous automotive photographers.
His childhood, his years as a driver and as sports director of Alfa Romeo, his debut as a constructor and the epic of the Prancing Horse until 1988 are the different phases of the Drake's long, extraordinary life, all documented in this work.
Ferrari's own thoughts comment on each picture, those thoughts that he used to write down in his personal diary in purple ink every day.
