A dip in the 70s and 80s, when the rally was a real disease and many also in Piombino, were practitioners and enthusiasts.
Part of the passion for the rally also the story of Richard Valentine, trucker Piombino, he did fall in love literally generations of fans with his exploits behind the wheel of a race car. Valentino was able to make a mark in the world of rally during which from 1977 to 1987 he ran 42 races, winning two, giving a show infinite aboard Ford Escort, Lancia Stratos and Talbot Lotus, cars remained immortal in the history of the specialty. Valentino has always been a pilot over the top, capable of giving even the show inside the plant Piombino, when put "sideways" even his truck.
