Profumo di Nafta, a sort of ideal continuation of the previous Macchina e rimorchio, aims to bring to light a story never written but intensely lived, whose protagonists were the lorry drivers and their fabulous trucks.
Nostalgia for different times and pride for work and for all the things, sometimes incredible, that were done in difficult and decisive times for the future of our country.
Marvels of a trade and an environment that we can never fully understand from the outside. In fact, only those who have lived there can fully feel the fascination of a world in which you understand each other even if you speak different languages, sometimes even without speaking.
Profumo di Nafta is a small step towards trying to enter the secrets of the truck universe, from the post-war trucks to the road bison of today.
The iconographic set is splendid, with both colour and b/w photos showing these machines in all their aspects.
