Also in the Biella area, with the end of the Great War, an industrial conversion became necessary: it was then that Ernesto Rubino decided to enter a new field of production activity, which was very promising at the time: the automotive one.

The Type 1 was put into manufacture. Thinking about the predominantly mountainous configuration of our country, this car was designed for mountain routes, adopting gears that allowed a speed of 70 km on the flat and a brilliant and effortless uphill drive.

Unfortunately, the financial situation, which was heavily affected by the difficult national economic situation after the war, did not allow the development of this initiative.

After various vicissitudes, which swallowed millions of lire and which yielded only the appearance of a few units, the material was taken over by a financial group of Turin.

There is news that the Netro workshops, still in 1926-27, were also dedicated to the production of detached parts, promoter of cars and motor vehicles.
