Andrea Dovizioso tells his story in 228 pages, talking about speed, but also slowness, courage, fears, motorbikes but also life.

Because the rider from Forlì, even before being a MotoGP athlete, is an "uncommon" man and in his autobiography "Asfalto" he talks about the revenge of the misunderstood and a new way of being a winner.

"I was the invisible man. A number. I was there, but I wasn't. 'You, Dovi, are the colour of asphalt' Luca Cadalora once told me. He was right: people didn't see me at all - writes Andrea Dovizioso -  If you're someone who lives for racing and desperately seeks results but doesn't win, and you're also an introvert who wants to be a person and not a character, you don't get noticed. The masses pay attention to other things, they don't want to and don't have time to waste learning to understand you. I didn't win, but I didn't lose resoundingly: I was there, in a sort of limbo, and so I was confused, like those who fade into the wallpaper at a party. Now I say that it's normal and that in a certain sense it's in the rules of the game. But for a long time I felt misunderstood. It took me years to understand that for someone like me, the only way to come to terms with a system that does not recognize you is to remain what you are, to have one face, to escape transparency by remaining transparent. How can you go from asphalt grey to fiery red without even wearing make-up and a wig?".
