The book tells a clear and systematic life and sporting career of the women who participated in Formula 1 racing, Rally, Prototypes, IndyCar, NASCAR, speed and endurance, from its origins to the present day, with particular attention to the Italian women pilot as Ada Pace, Maria Teresa de Filippis and Lella Lombardi (the only woman to score points in a Grand Prix Formula 1 in 1975). The book opens with the epic story of the first trip in the car, the one taken by Bertha Benz on the car designed by her husband, the inventor Karl Benz in 1888. Women recently or still involved in Formula 1, as María de Villota, Susie Wolff Stoddart, or other protagonists as Danica Patrick and Beitske Visser, has dedicated the central part of the volume, followed by a section on the relationship between women and the Formula 1 from a physical-technical point of view and in the opinion of the protagonists as Bernie Ecclestone, Jenson Button and Ron Dennis. In the section on Rally, ample space is dedicated to the French champion Michèle Mouton and Fabrizia Pons Italian pilot and navigator. The book is enriched by the prefaces of Michela Cerruti, Italian pilot engaged in revolutionary Formula E (electric), and Sticchi Angelo Damiani, president of the Automobile Club Italian.
