This photographic book is dedicated to Prince Gaetano Starrabba di Giardinelli, and, with unpublished and exclusive images from his personal archives, traces his extraordinary racing career from 1953 to 1970.
From the first races with a Fiat 500 to a Patriarca 750 Sport and then continuing with marvellous cars including Maserati A6GCS, Ferrari 500 TR, Ferrari 500 TRC, Porsche 718, always achieving significant results. In 1961 he also raced in the Italian Grand Prix with a Lotus 18.
In the years that followed, Prince Starrabba also continued to compete in Formula 2 with a Brabham, and in other races, including the Targa Florio, in which he was a great specialist, with the Ferrari GTO, Ferrari 250 LM, Ferrari 275 GTB, Porsche 911 and Carrera 6.
The book also offers us the story of the meeting that journalist Valeria Paci had with the Prince, a story that reveals this "ultimate Gattopardo of Sicily" in an absolutely unprecedented way.
A volume that can therefore be defined as a true historical representation of that certainly unique and unrepeatable period of motorsports during which Prince Starrabba was a great protagonist.
