Paolo Rampini was born in December 1949 in Milan, the city where he has always lived. He had a passion for toy cars since he was a child.
"At 13 years old, he had a collection of 150 models". After 50 years of collecting, he still has a collection of around 12,000 pieces, most of which are die-cast models.
Paolo Rampini started his career as publisher and author of books on antique toys and model cars in 1982. From then to 2023 he has produced 29 books, among which The Golden Book of Model Cars (1995), and the books on Bburago and Brumm stand out for their interest and success.
This volume, published in 2023, offers an overview of model cars produced until 1995 in scales from 1:60 to 1:87 of many historic Italian brands such as: Burago, Polistil, Mercury, Ingap, Mebetoys, etc.
Amply illustrated, Micromodelli made in Italy has 130 pages.
