Among the most significant figures in the history of motorcycling in Italy are the Ancillotti: Gualtiero and his sons Alberto and Piero.
Since the post-war period, this family has been involved in almost every aspect of motorcycling, becoming increasingly well known thanks to their Lambretta-based designs, but truly achieving legendary status when they turned their passion to off-road motorcycles.
Their story is epic, unique in many ways, and is told in this book by the same Alberto Ancillotti, with a wealth of details, a great deal of unpublished material, and a rich collection of photographs, with almost 500 colour and b/w images.
These pages reveal a complex and varied universe, consisting of karts, scooters, records, regularity, cross and trial motorcycles - all rigorously catalogued with technical data sheets in a dedicated section of the volume - but also of men, sophisticated mechanics and, of course, great passion.
That is why this anthology is not only a tribute to the Ancillotti brand, but also represents an extraordinary journey through a unique era.
Ancillotti - cronistoria di un mito is a limited edition of only 500 copies. Text in Italian.
