After a first book - Critérium des Cévennes 1954-1981 - covering the first 25 editions, published at the end of 2020, the continuation from 1982 to the 64th edition in 2023 seemed logical.
The editions from 1982 to 2001 are covered in depth on eight pages, often 14 pages each, while those from 2002 to 2023 are illustrated on two pages per edition.
The author, Jacques Privat, who had already written the book on the Ronde Cévenole 1967-1979, then continued with the Critérium des Cévennes (1954-1981), again with the same meticulous attention to detail, covering each edition with comprehensive classification tables, exhaustive data sheets, and many pictures with extensive captions.
In addition to a punctual text detailing the forces at play, rule changes, novelties, etc. Not to mention the numerous "real-life" boxes on new cars, new teams, promotional formulas, etc.
Critérium des Cévennes 1982-2023 features 308 pages and 520 pictures. Text in French.
