During the first half of the 20th century, the French bicycle and motorbike industry was divided among a multitude of companies of all sizes. Alongside big names like Peugeot, Terrot and Motobécane, every town in France had a few workshops.
In the Clermont-Ferrand urban area alone, nearly a dozen factories operated in this field, from AMC, a large factory that produced thousands of engines, to small craftsmen who made custom-built bicycles.
Among all these companies, Favor was the oldest and produced bicycles, motorcycles, mopeds and scooters for seventy years thanks to the tenacity of its founders, the Guillaume brothers. This book tells their story.
"Favor" – Cycles et motocyclettes Favor – Une histoire clermontoise has 112 pages, duly illustrated. Text in French.
