On 18 March 1972 the first edition of the Rally Due Valli started. On 18 March 2022, 50 years after that historic date, Automobile Club Verona unveiled to drivers, navigators, teams, champions and fans this exclusive publication, printed in 500 hand-numbered copies.
This volume celebrating the first 50 years and 39 editions of Rally Due Valli is the result of a project started at beginning of 2019 by the will of a group of enthusiasts who worked to extrapolate from the digital and physical archives of Automobile Club and from the dusty soffits of many fans of this race all the material related to this extraordinary sporting history.
With photos, reports and scans of original documents such as maps, distance and time tables, schedules, various types of memorabilia, stickers, timekeepers' printouts and correspondence between the sports office and the competitors, this book provides an exhaustive and fascinating insight into these first 50 years of history.
Complete results, list of entrants and various documents will make this work a sure reference point for everyone, both for those who lived through the first editions and for the youngest who have only recently entered the magical world of the Due Valli.
